Terms of service
The terms on which this website and our services are provided. By using the site you accept them.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Gambling Therapy Centre, Kemp House, 152-160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Gambling Therapy Centre. This website and its content are owned and controlled by us.
2. Nothing here is a substitute for professional care
The information on this website, including the self-check tool, is general information about gambling harm. It is not a diagnosis, not medical advice, not legal advice and not financial advice. It does not create a therapeutic relationship. Always seek advice from a qualified professional about your own circumstances.
3. This is not an emergency service
We do not monitor phone, email or form submissions outside our published opening hours. If life is at immediate risk call 999. For free 24-hour support, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 or Samaritans on 116 123.
4. Services, bookings and fees
Fees are published on our How we help page and are the fees that apply unless we agree otherwise in writing. The intake call is free and carries no obligation. Sessions are payable in advance of the session or as an agreed block. Fees may be reviewed annually; existing clients receive at least 30 days’ notice of any change.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel or reschedule with more than 48 hours’ notice at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours, and non-attendance, are charged at the full session fee. Block bookings may be stopped at any time and unused sessions are refunded in full within 14 days. If we cancel a session, it is rescheduled or refunded at your choice.
6. Suitability
Our services are for adults aged 18 and over resident in the United Kingdom. We may decline or end a therapeutic relationship where we judge that we are not the appropriate service, where risk cannot be safely managed in our setting, or where conduct towards our staff is abusive. Where we do, we will explain why and signpost you to alternatives.
7. Acceptable use of this website
You may not use this site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, scrape it at a rate that degrades service, or copy its content for republication. This website does not host user-generated content: there are no forums, comments, profiles or uploads, so no third-party content appears here unmoderated.
8. Intellectual property
All text, layout, graphics and code on this website are our property or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction requires our written permission.
Third-party organisation names mentioned on this site, including on our resources page, are used descriptively to help visitors find genuine free support. All such names and trade marks remain the property of their owners. Their mention does not imply affiliation, endorsement or partnership in either direction.
9. External links
We link to third-party organisations because we believe they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. We receive no payment, commission or referral fee for any link on this website.
10. No guaranteed outcome
Therapy outcomes depend on many factors and cannot be guaranteed. We do not claim, and you should not infer, any promise of a cure, of abstinence, or of a specific result. We provide professional services with reasonable skill and care; that is what we commit to.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for financial loss arising from gambling, or for loss arising from your reliance on general information published on this website.
12. Complaints
Raise anything with your therapist first, or email hello@gamblingtherapycentre.com. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and respond substantively within ten. You may also complain to the practitioner’s professional body at any time.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
