Who we are, how we are funded, who is accountable for the clinical work, and what we will not do. Established 2026, based in London and working online across the United Kingdom.
The Gambling Therapy Centre was established in 2026 to do one thing properly: treat gambling harm, and the harm it causes to the people around the person gambling.
Most general counselling services see gambling occasionally. Free specialist services do excellent work but often carry waiting lists at exactly the moment when someone has finally decided to ask. We were set up to sit in that gap — specialist, structured, and available quickly — while being completely open about the free routes that may suit you better.
We are a private practice. You pay us for therapy; that is our entire business model. We are not a charity, we are not an NHS service, and we do not pretend to be either.
Every practitioner is a registered member of a UK professional body, works under regular clinical supervision, holds enhanced DBS clearance and carries professional indemnity insurance.

Before this site goes live: replace the three roles above with the real names, qualifications, professional body and registration numbers of your practitioners, and add your company registration number and ICO registration number to the footer. Microsoft Advertising and UK professional bodies both expect verifiable practitioner details on a therapy website.
Entirely by client fees. We accept no funding, sponsorship, advertising, commission or referral payment from gambling operators, affiliates, comparison sites or any organisation connected to the gambling industry. We do not run advertising on this website and we do not sell or share enquiry data.
Where we name a free service on our resources page, we receive nothing for it. That is the point of the page.
If something goes wrong, raise it with your therapist first, or write to hello@gamblingtherapycentre.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days and to respond substantively within ten. You can also complain directly to the practitioner’s professional body at any point, without going through us first; we will give you the relevant details on request.
How our content is written and reviewed is set out in our editorial standards. How we handle risk and disclosure is set out in our safeguarding policy.
