Safeguarding & responsible gambling

Our commitments on risk, disclosure and vulnerability - and our position on gambling itself, stated without ambiguity.

Our position on gambling

We treat gambling harm. We do not promote gambling in any form. This website contains no gambling advertising, no operator links, no affiliate links, no bonus offers, no odds or tips, and no comparison content. We accept no funding, sponsorship or referral payment from gambling operators, affiliates or anyone connected to the industry.

We do not describe gambling as harmless entertainment, and we do not present any product, strategy or system as safe. Commercial gambling products are designed to return less than they take over time. That is the arithmetic, and we say so plainly.

Who we work with

Adults aged 18 and over. We do not provide services to children or young people. If you are concerned about someone under 18, speak to their GP and call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 for guidance on age-appropriate services.

Recognising and responding to risk

Gambling harm carries a serious elevated risk of self-harm and suicide. We take that seriously in practice, not just in a policy document.

  • Risk is assessed at intake and reviewed in every session, not just at the start.
  • Every practitioner is trained in suicide risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Where risk is identified we agree a written safety plan with you, including named contacts and immediate steps.
  • Where there is a serious and immediate risk to life, we will act to keep you safe. Wherever it is safe to do so, we will discuss this with you first rather than act behind you.
  • All practitioners work under regular clinical supervision, where risk cases are reviewed.

Safeguarding children and adults at risk

Where we become aware that a child or an adult at risk may be suffering harm, we follow local safeguarding procedures and will make a referral to the relevant local authority or the police. This is one of the limited circumstances in which confidentiality may be broken without consent, and it is explained to every client in their first session.

All practitioners hold enhanced DBS clearance and complete safeguarding training on appointment and at regular intervals thereafter.

Vulnerability

People contact us at some of the worst moments of their lives, often in debt, sleepless and ashamed. We take specific steps not to exploit that:

  • No pressure selling, no countdown timers, no artificial scarcity, no discounts that expire.
  • No payment is taken before the free intake call, and no payment is taken at all if we conclude we are not the right service for you.
  • Free alternatives are named openly on our resources page, and we point people to them where they fit better.
  • No identifiable client testimonials, success stories or before-and-after claims are published, whatever their marketing value.
  • No claim of a cure, a guaranteed outcome or a success rate is made anywhere on this site.
