How we help

Four structured programmes, fixed published fees, and a free intake call to work out which one fits. Everything below is what you would actually receive - session counts, lengths, formats and costs.

Programme 01

One-to-one gambling therapy

12 weekly sessions · 50 minutes · £70 per session

The core programme, with the same therapist from start to finish. It runs in three phases:

  • Sessions 1–3 — stabilise. Blocking software, GAMSTOP registration, bank gambling blocks, account closures, and an honest picture of what is owed and to whom.
  • Sessions 4–9 — understand. Cognitive behavioural work on the beliefs, urges, moods and situations that precede a bet, plus whatever sits underneath — often anxiety, low mood, boredom, grief or debt itself.
  • Sessions 10–12 — protect. A written relapse-prevention plan, early-warning signs, and a rehearsed response to a lapse.

Video, telephone or in person in London. Pay per session or as a discounted block of twelve (£780).

Programme 02

Family & partner support

6–10 sessions · 60 minutes · £75 per session

For partners, parents, adult children and close friends affected by someone else’s gambling. You can attend alone, and you do not need the gambler’s permission or knowledge.

  • Protecting your own finances — joint accounts, credit files, guarantor debt, and what you are and are not liable for.
  • Boundaries that hold, including the difference between supporting someone and funding the problem.
  • Rebuilding trust at a realistic pace when the person is genuinely in recovery.
  • Your own wellbeing, which is usually the thing that has been neglected longest.

Available separately or jointly with the person who gambles, where both parties want that.

Programme 03

Facilitated group programme

8 weekly sessions · 90 minutes · £35 per session

A closed online group of six to eight people, led by a therapist, running the same eight weeks together from start to finish. No drop-ins, no rotating membership.

  • Entry requires at least four consecutive weeks without gambling, self-reported and discussed at intake.
  • Themes include shame, disclosure, managing money in recovery, boredom, and what to do with the time gambling used to occupy.
  • Group agreements on confidentiality are set in week one and are binding.

Runs in cohorts. If the next cohort is more than three weeks away we will tell you at intake.

Programme 04

Aftercare & relapse response

Monthly · 50 minutes · £60 per session · open-ended

For people who have completed a programme with us. A monthly check-in keeps the plan alive rather than filed away.

  • Review of the relapse-prevention plan against what has actually happened since.
  • A same-week appointment if a lapse occurs — we hold slots for this every week.
  • No minimum commitment. Stop and restart as you need to.

Available to former clients at any point after a programme ends, including years later.

Fees at a glance

All fees are inclusive. There are no assessment charges, registration fees or admin surcharges.

Fees shown in GBP and reviewed annually. Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice are free of charge.

If you cannot afford this, please do not stop here. Free specialist gambling treatment is available in the UK through the NHS and through charities such as GamCare. We list every route we know of, with no affiliation and no referral fee to us, on our resources page. Tell us on the intake call and we will help you find the right one.

What a session actually looks like

Sessions are conversations with a structure, not open-ended venting and not a lecture. Your therapist will usually open by reviewing the week — what happened, what nearly happened, what helped — then work on one theme, then agree something concrete to try before next time.

Online sessions run on a secure encrypted video platform in your browser; there is nothing to install and no recording is made. Telephone sessions work equally well and are what a lot of people choose for the first few weeks. In-person sessions are available at our London consulting rooms.

Who we cannot help

We are a talking-therapy service, not a crisis service and not a medical service. We are not the right place if you need urgent psychiatric care, medically supervised detox, or immediate crisis intervention. If you are at risk right now, call 999, contact NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123 at any hour.

We also do not provide debt advice, legal advice or financial advice. We will help you get to the right free service for those — StepChange, Citizens Advice and National Debtline are all listed on our resources page.

Ready when you are

Book a free, no-obligation 20-minute intake call. We will talk through what is happening, answer your questions and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
